Privacy policy

The short version

You do not need an account to use Prompt Gallery - Ai Image, and we never ask for your name, your email address, your phone number or your photos. We do not know who you are.

What we do collect is a randomly generated app identifier, some basic information about your device, the searches you type in the app, and which images you open or copy. That data tells us which prompts are useful and keeps the service running. The app also shows advertisements, and our advertising partner collects its own data - that part is described in full below.

What we collect

An app identifier

The first time you open the app it generates a random identifier - a string of characters like 3f7a1c9e-… - and stores it on your device. It is sent with every request the app makes to our server.

This identifier is not your Android ID, not your advertising ID, and not tied to any account. It is created by the app itself, it is not shared with anyone other than our own server, and uninstalling the app deletes it permanently. Reinstalling produces a new one, and there is no way for us to connect the two.

We use it to count each device once rather than each request, and to apply rate limits fairly. Without it, everyone sharing a mobile network would share one quota and the app would stop working for all of them at once.

Basic device information

Every request carries your device model, your Android version, the app version you are running, and your device's language and country setting. We use this to know which Android versions and screen types to keep supporting, and to send the right update prompt when a new version is out.

What you search for

When you search inside the app, the words you typed and the number of results they returned are sent to our server. This is what produces the trending search suggestions shown on the search screen, and it tells us which styles people are looking for that the library does not have yet.

Which images you open

The app records when an image is viewed, when its prompt is copied, and when it is shared, along with which advertisement placements were shown. These are counts attached to an image, not to you - they are what the view and copy numbers on each image are built from.

Your IP address

As with any website or app, our server receives your IP address as part of the connection. It is used for security and abuse prevention and is not used to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

• No name, email address, phone number or postal address
• No account, password or login of any kind
• No contacts, calendar, call log or messages
• No photos, videos or files from your device
• No GPS or precise location
• No payment or financial information
• No microphone or camera access - the app does not request these permissions

Saved prompts stay on your device

When you save a prompt, it is written to a database inside the app on your own phone. It is never uploaded. Our server has no endpoint that can receive or return your saved list, which is why your saved prompts do not follow you to a new phone - and why nobody, including us, can see them.

Advertising

Prompt Gallery - Ai Image is free and is paid for by advertising. Advertisements are delivered by Google AdMob, which is a separate company from us and collects its own data through its software inside the app.

AdMob collects your device's advertising ID, technical information about your device, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with the advertisements shown. It uses this to choose which advertisements to show, to measure them, and to detect fraud. This data goes to Google, not to us - we receive only the total counts.

You control this. On your phone, open Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely to turn off personalised advertising across every app. Google explains what it collects in the Google Privacy & Terms.

If you are in a region covered by the GDPR, the app shows a consent form the first time it opens and your answer is remembered. You can change it at any time from that same form.

Who your data is shared with

That is the complete list. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers, advertisers or anyone else. We would disclose data only if a valid legal order required it.

How long we keep it

• Search terms and image events - kept in aggregate so the counts on each image and the trending searches remain accurate
• App identifier and device information - kept while the app is in use, and removed within 90 days of a request
• Server logs - kept for a short period for security, then rotated out

Your choices

Delete everything at once. Uninstalling the app removes your app identifier, your saved prompts and the cached images from your device. Once the identifier is gone, the records on our side can no longer be linked to any device.

Ask us to delete it. Write to hello@tanzimstudio.com from any address and we will delete the records we hold. Tell us roughly when you installed the app and which device you used, so we can find the right records - since there is no account, that is what we have to match on.

Turn off personalised advertising. Use the Android setting described above. The app keeps working; the advertisements simply stop being tailored to you.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to ask what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it is used. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

Prompt Gallery - Ai Image is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has used the app and you would like their data removed, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Everything the app sends travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection - the app is configured to refuse unencrypted connections entirely. Data on our server is access controlled and only reachable by the people who operate the service.

No system is perfectly secure, but the best protection here is that there is very little worth stealing: no passwords, no email addresses, no payment details and no personal files.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the updated version appears here. If a change materially affects what we collect, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
